my moms pigs in a blanket. My mom called them Pigs in a Blanket. I know many of you are thinking that's different than most recipes for Pigs in a Blanket… they call for hot dogs and crescent rolls. So… anyway this is my mom's version of Pig in a blanket.
Every single time, I would get in trouble for eating them before the guests arrived. When I got married, my only request was to have a whole table filled with these savory appetizers. As you can see, my obsession continues. You can have my moms pigs in a blanket using 10 ingredients and 4 steps. Here is how you cook that.

I made these Keto Pigs in a Blanket with the Hillshire Farms Little Smokies - which do have a bit of Corn Syrup in them - making them a bit of a "dirty keto" snack. There are many different names, and just as many different "recipes." Growing up, my Mom made pigs in a blanket fairly often. I know there are dozens of ways to make them, but she always made them with canned biscuits and a pack of little smokies! I decided to make these spicy Pigs in a Blanket to honor the old community cookbooks that, at one point, were the only cookbooks I owned besides my well worn copy of Joy of Cooking (I won't tell you which edition it was, because it makes me feel really old, and I like to keep up appearances).

When we first decided to try to buy our own home, we had to find a neighborhood we could afford that. On those days my mom would be home from work and she would make us hot chocolate and a few different foods. Sometimes we would get Chicken Noodle soup, mac and cheese or we would get my favorite, Pigs in a Blanket. I have always loved pigs in a blanket because they are perfect on cold chilly days at home or even during the holidays. This post may contain affiliate links.
