instructions Peanut Butter Cup Puppy Chow
- Melt together, one variety of chocolate at a time with 1/4 cup peanut butter. Melt it in 30 sec. increments in the microwave to avoid burning. Stir with a fork until smooth and creamy..
- Have 1/2 of your cereal in a large mixing bowl or large brown paper bag. Pour the melted chocolate mixture over the cereal. For in a bowl: use a rubber spatula to carefully fold the cereal and chocolate to coat evenly to avoid crushing the cereal, followed by a careful toss. (You don't want it flying everywhere but inside the mixing bowl lol.) For a paper bag: fold the top of the bag a couple times and toss vigorously until cereal is coated evenly..
- Pour in 1 cup of the powdered sugar on top of your cereal mixture, use the same methods as listed in step 2 as designated for your specific mixing container..
- Check to see if your cereal still seems a little sticky, if so add just add a little more powdered sugar and toss some more until the mixture is "dry." Once the mixture is dry, repeat the steps with your other chocolate flavor. If you need to reuse the mixing bowl, pour the current "batch" into a gallon ziplock bag, wash and thoroughly dry the mixing bowl (spatula too if needed.) If you're using the paper bag method, you don't need to wash anything! WOOHOO! Just mix your second batch in another paper bag the same way you did the first..
- Once your second batch is done, toss both flavors together and store in an air tight container or gallon ziplock bag. Allow to set in the fridge for a few minutes and enjoy! I keep mine in the fridge, I love it when its chilled. I would say how long it would keep, but I don't think it will last near long enough to "expire" lol!!! P.S. I also refer to this as "Gamer Grub" Lolz!.
