  1. 🢂 6 cup of or 7 cups chex cereal..I used store brand.
  2. 🢂 1 cup of peanut butter.
  3. 🢂 1/4 cup of cocoa powder I used Nestle or 1 cup melted semi sweet chocolate chips.
  4. 🢂 1/4 cup of granulated sugar ONLY if using cocoa powder.
  5. 🢂 2 cup of powdered sugar.
  6. 🢂 8 tbsp of butter.
  7. 🢂 1 of you need a large bowl.with lid to make easier not necessary.you can also use a large bag or just keep stirring.

instructions Edwards version Muddy buddies(puppy chow)

  1. mix peanut butter and cocoa or melted chocolate chips.
  2. in another bowl mix 3Tbs butter with granulated sugar zap in microwave for about10seconds stir mix into peanut butter n cocoa mixture not necessary if using chocolate chips.
  3. zap mixture in microwave for 10 seconds stir and zap for another 10 seconds stir in chex..coat evenly it might not look like enough but I kept stirring and it was perfect.
  4. add two cups powdered sugar and stir or shake vigurously in a bag or with a lid on Bowl until evenly heavily coated.
  5. let cool completely for best taste!! they were so much better when completely cool.

It's so easy to make and give away to people. I have so many different versions on my blog. This staple of Midwestern holiday parties is easy to make and even easier to eat a lot of. I've made puppy chow (or muddy buddies) many times. By far this is the worst recipe I've ever used.
